When I looked online recently for current ideas about paint colors, I discovered why people feel so anxious about selecting paint for their home. There are so many twists on the dos and don’ts of paint selection that it becomes very overwhelming very fast.
As a designer, I get endless questions about color – for paint, fabrics, furnishings, drapes, you name it. And I’ll say up front: there is no ‘wrong’ color, it’s subjective! But there is a method to selecting what’s right for you. When I work with you, I ask two questions before I get into anything specific.
I don’t know about you, but my plunger doesn’t really ‘spark joy’ in the way that Marie Kondo, the Japanese organizer with a new Netflix show, defines it. But I’m keeping it and you should too!
